Real Time Operations Portal (RTOP)

RTOP is a large-scale internal CSX platform used daily by thousands of employees to monitor the railroad network in real time. The application provides a comprehensive view of trains, terminals, and key operational metrics, helping users make faster, more informed decisions in a complex, high-stakes environment. As a UX designer, I worked on improving the usability, clarity, and efficiency of this data-rich experience by partnering closely with product managers and developers through Agile workflows, daily collaboration, and iterative design reviews. I also used analytics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring the platform continued to meet the needs of operational teams at scale. This work supported safer, more streamlined operations across the network.
